Wait time

Today we got an email from our family coordinator. It said that the wait time for both boys and girls is increasing again. This time is it is going up to 18-24 months. This was a pretty significant jump. Before that it was at 14-18 months. When we started, the wait time for a female infant was 7-11 months. Needless to say, this process is taking much longer than expected. The other thing the email said was that times are probably going to continue to increase.

This is for sure discouraging. However, we are still trusting that God has perfect timing for our family. We still feel that this is where God has us. Please keep us in prayer. Also, please keep praying for Ethiopia and adoption process. We are so thankful for all the prayers and support we are receiving along the way.

Our family can totally relate to that! Just keep trusting God, His plans are so much better, yet so much harder. Trusting God is a roller coster, but it is so worth it! :) Praying for you guys! -Meghan

Our adoption time line

5/9/13 Held up medical because the clinic is out of TB shots.
4/3/13 Court day. We passed! We legally have a daughter.
3/29/13 Meetcha day! We meet our daughter for the first time. Amazing day!
3/27/13 Leave for Ethiopia
3/20/14 Court date assigned for April 3.
3/19/13 Court found our file, but power is out. Still no court date assigned.
3/14/13 The court loses our file.
3/8/13 MOWCYA date #3. Letter written no court date for travel yet.
2/18/13 MOWCYA court date #2. Comes and goes with no letter.
1/15/13 MOWCYA court date. Given negative letter due to MOWCYA error.
11/28/12 Recieve referral for a gorgeous 19 month old little girl after 22 weeks at #1!
7/12/12 ON DECK email from AWAA
7/12 #1 on the waitlist!
2/26/12 Reached #10 on the waitlist! Top Ten!
1/18/12 Renew Fingerprints for USCIS
11/19/11 One year waiting
12/19/10 One month wating...
11/19/10 DTE!!!!!!!
11/15/10 Dossier mailed to our agency.
11/12/10 I 171H arrives in the mail.
10/28/10 Go to Columbus for State Certification.
10/26/10 Go to the USCIS office to get finger printed.
10/2/10 Finger print appointments arrive in the mail.
9/20/10 Home study sent to USCIS.
9/17/10 Home study arrives in the mail.
9/14/10 CPS clearance finally finished. HOME STUDY COMPLETE!
8/26/10 Passports arrive
8/19/10 Final home study visit
7/31/10 Passports applied for!!!
7/28/10 Recieved notarized BCI&I clearance
7/14/10 New BCI&I clearance requested.
7/13/10 Home study safety audit and individual interviews.
7/12/10 Received BCI&I clearance...not notarized.
7/6/10 I600A application and check sent out.
6/29/10 Chick Fil A fundraiser in South Bend.
6/25/10 Parking lot sale fund raiser in South Bend. Raised $500
6/19/10 signed up for Hague training online.
6/12/10 BCI&I fingerprinting done. Faxed to receive a notarized copy for dossier.
6/10/10 Meet with Therese for joint interview. Home study visit #2 done.
5/21/10 Home study orientation with Therese. We really like her.
5/14/10 TB tests checked. Asher came back positive so we had a chest Xray done. He's good.
5/13/10 Dan and Abby doctor appointments.
5/12/10 kids get TB test
5/10/10 Home study fees sent in.
4/21/10 First installment fee sent in.
4/19/10 Application accepted! Approved for Ethiopia program.
4/7/10 Application sent in
